2. Summary

Chuyang Y. Tang, et al, in their journal article "Advanced in Colloid and Interface Science", review studies about membrane colloidal fouling of NF and RO membrane colloidal fouling. They summarize main concepts, terminologies, and results of membrane colloidal fouling. Also they claim that both the critical and limiting flux concepts which are developed for UF and MF are applicable in RO and NF. This paper gives overviews about mechanism and related phenomena of membrane fouling model. To employ and modify pre-developed mathematical model for membrane fouling estimation, researcher needs recent experimental results and model that considers more things than before to accurately establish membrane colloidal fouling model.

4. Application to research

I think that knowing briefly about colloidal membrane fouling and information about reference papers are milestone for membrane colloidal fouling estimation using fouling model and experimental data.
