2. Summary

This paper studies about model osmotic backwash in reverse osmosis process using 2D model and compared with experiment data. 2D model could approach to better control of the osmotic backwash process by adjusting its parameters. Also this paper studies change of time-dependent concentration both feed and permeate channel. Dividing from 2 cases, case 1 is applied by diffusion mechanism for convection resulting from the diffusion, and case 2 has more parameters affecting the osmotic backwash. Case 1 and case 2 have some differences, which diffusion water and salt coefficients through the membrane. Case 2 is more closely the experiment data.

3. Application to research

This study can apply to fouling removal of membrane in RO process but it need to scale-up
