2. Summary

This paper is written in the form of a review paper describing the Cyber Physical System (CPS). The main focus is on the CPS applicable to the water environment. Since CPS could monitor various water qualities in real time within the water environment, several technologies including ICT need to be developed. Factors needed for CPS development include sensing, energy harvesting, wireless heterogeneous networks, hydrodynamic modeling, and data-driven decision making. This paper provides a good description of each technology and its trends. In addition, the flow chart and key technologies of the CPS system are well organized in a table. At the end, it presents the limitations and direction of development for CPS development in the water environment.

 

 

 

3. Originality & Creativity 

Research on artificial intelligence and CPS is being actively conducted for better decision making in water treatment facilities. However, few papers have been studied on the implementation of CPS based on the water environment. This paper provides a good direction for researchers to research related topics for the first time. It also provides information on good papers in related fields like other review papers.

 

 

 

4. Application to research 

I am studying the development of artificial intelligence models that support decision-making on the maintenance and operation of water treatment facilities. CPS can provide a comfortable environment for workers and improve their understanding of the entire process. Therefore, if it is applied to water treatment facilities together with artificial intelligence, it will be able to produce great synergy effect.
