2. Summary
Lin Chen et. al. carried out experiments to compare energy recovery and electrode regeneration under different charge/discharge conditions. They changed charge current in CC (constant current) mode and voltage in CV (constant voltage) mode. The charge current ranges from 0.10 A to 0.30 A and the charge voltage ranges from 0.4 V to 1.2 V. Increase of charge/discharge current or voltage decreased the energy recovery. Maximum energy recovery, 46.6%, was reached at 0.1 A in CC mode. Furthermore, the electrode regeneration was 86% in CC mode and 64% in CV mode.
3. Originality & Creativity
- Investigation for energy recovery and electrode regeneration under different charge/discharge mode were conducted.
4. Application to research
- To study commercialization of CDI, problems of technology should be carefully reviewed.
